Photometeore sind Meteore, die im Gebiet der Meteorologie in der AtmosphΓ€re an der ErdoberflΓ€che oder im Himmel beobachtet werden. Der Name leitet sich von β€žPhotoβ€œ, altgriechisch Ο†Ο‰Ο„ΟŒΟ‚ [photΓ³s] fΓΌr β€ždes Lichtsβ€œ (Anmerkung: es handelt sich um die Genitivform), und β€žMeteorβ€œ, vom altgriechischen μΡτέωρος [metéōros], β€žin der Luft schwebendβ€œ, her. Anders als Elektrometeore, Hydrometeore und Lithometeore stehen sie mit der Reflexion, Brechung, Beugung, Streuung oder Interferenz des Mond- oder Sonnenlichts im Zusammenhang.cite-ref-1[1]
